How to create a new VM with Linux.
The different versions of Linux available in the custom console are a customized open-source distribution that can be installed on a wide variety of computers.
We can install:
- Ubuntu 18, Ubuntu 20, Ubuntu 22
- Debian 11, Debian 12
- Suse 15sp1
- Centos 7, Centos8
- Alma 8
- Rocky 8
- RHel8
- FreeBSD 11, FreeBSD 12
To create a VM with Linux, follow these steps:
From the Dashboard, click on one of our available VPCs (Virtual Private Cloud).
Locate the Virtual Machines section, click on "+ Add New Virtual Machine", and wait for the context to create your new VM to appear.

Once we have verified the available resources, we will fill in the required fields in the VM creation form.
This can be a Private Network interface, an Internet Interface, or a combination of both, depending on your needs.

For Linux VMs, it is necessary to fill in the following fields:
- "Virtual Machine Name": Specifies a name for the server.
- "Virtual Machine Type": Choose the Windows operating system to install (Windows Server 2022 / Windows server 2019 / Windows server 2016).
- "vCPUs": specifies the number of vcpus for the server.
- "VM RAM": specifies the amount of ram for the server.
- "Disk Size": Specifies the amount of disk space for the server.
- "Default User": Enter a user different from root.
- "Password": Enter a secure password.
- "Cloud-init Script": Choose " LinuxVPC ".
- "Virtual network": Choose "+ Add New Virtual Network" and choose red local with private IP
This can be a Private Network interface or an Internet Interface, or a combination of both, depending on your needs.
If you forget to fill in any of these fields, an error may occur during the server creation.
Once all data for the VM has been filled, click on the "Save Changes" button.
